Life Counselling

Life Counselling is 1:1 with clinical psychologist, Dr Paul Whetham, and is available to adolescent and adult clients either online telehealth or face-to-face. 

Australian residents who have a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP receive up to 10 individual AND 10 group sessions per calendar year. 

Life Counselling specialty areas include:

• Work and school stress
• Fatigue and burnout
• Anxiety and depression
• Grief and loss
• Loneliness and relationship issues
• Age, stage and meaning issues
• Spirituality and religion
• Drugs, alcohol and addiction
• Mental health disorders

Life Counselling principles include: 

• Affirm that clients have a choice and can change if they choose
• Share the helping process with clients
• Help clients see counselling as work sessions
• Help clients become better problem-solvers in their lives
• Become a resource person for clients
