Life Cafes are 'free' for adults of all ages. They run during school terms in South Australian community centres for about 1-hour a week (and online in 2024).
Life Cafe has 2-parts: Part 1 is 'Journey of Discovery' where we watch a short video and explore what it means to Map our Life & Move our Mindset. Part 2 is '200+ Club' where we hold the space for each other. The 200+ Club is designed to help people embrace their 'call to adventure' and move beyond loneliness using the classic hero's journey.
Life Cafe is not designed to be therapeutic for any particular mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, psychosis or post-traumatic stress.
So if you have any significant mental health concerns, we ask you not to discuss personal details about this on our online or face-to-face Life Cafes. Instead, we strongly encourage you to seek a mental health professional for support or advice. Note, we have a clinical psychologist available @ Life Cafe for specialist mental health issues.
If you are currently experiencing a mental crisis we encourage you click on the button below to reach out to the most trusted organisations for immediate free advice and support on your recovery journey.
If life is in danger please call 000 for emergency assistance from police, ambulance or fire services.
